Texture 2.0

Expanding
Due to the popularity of the Texture plates, the collection is being expanded to include a dinner plate, side plate and two bowls. A true addition to the collection.

Scales
A bold texture has been chosen for all new items: 'escamas' or in plain English, scales. The interplay of light and shadow on the unglazed porcelain creates a beautiful interaction highlighting textures.

By hand
As consistent with the Texture collection, I manually carve the texture into the plaster models, and these are then translated into the master moulds from the selected Vista Alegre items, finalising the collections expansion.

This design has won the German Design Award 2020 in the category "Tabletop" and the Iconic Award 2020 in the category "Innovative Interior".
