Bagastro SIER
[productontwerp]
Bagastro is a new line of disposables developed with SIER. It is made of bagasse, a material rich in both look and feel that can be shaped into beautiful forms. Mieke Cuppen has developed this line exclusively for SIER. Starting points of the design are simple, stylish shapes that are practical to use. The goal for the line was elegance combined with function and versatility, and Mieke and SIER succeeded in this approach.

Sustainability
Bagastro is made of 70% sugar cane pulp and 30% FSC wood pulp. Sugar cane pulp is also known as bagasse, and since the products are intended for gastronomy, the name “Bagastro” was an obvious choice.
Bagasse is a by-product created in the production of sugar. Previously this waste was simply burned, but nowadays it is used for various purposes including the production of disposables. Because the Bagastro products are also biodegradable, they are an eco-friendly and sustainable disposable tableware solution.

Bagastro is available in several wholesale stores like Hanos, Zegro and de Kweker.
